In the beginning there was one poet
whose soul was strong and true
he threw open wide his loving arms
and then the one was two.

Word spread quickly of his place
a home for poets to rest
and in coming together in passion
we’ve surely become the best

As we increase in quantity
may our quality stay the same
without ego, without pretense
without glory, without fame

A tribute fair to Ron it seems
is just a beginning chorus
how can we thank him enough
for all that he’s done for us

Though we cannot make you guru
or proclaim you deity
Ron, our mentor, we honor you
for a home for our poetry.

Here here...Bravo!!    You wrote that quite tastefully I must say and I'm one who is happy about becoming a member here and enjoying new friendships. It's true I have learned a lot too, and I think the quality of my own personal poetry has increased somewhat..........Thanks for this PDV !      It's a wonderful tribute. I don't know Ron very well but he's done a masterful job here providing this service for all of us. For that I tip my hat to him!

I've gotta admit - I'm a bit subjective, I know - But everything she says is true....

What a lovely tribute to Ron and the people of Passions, Sharon.  We did come from humble beginnings, but together we grow more each and every day.  I personally don't know what I would have done without a safe haven to go to when I needed it most.  Thank you, Ron for sharing this place with us all.

by the grace of God.

I, too, say Thank You...to Ron, all pip's poets and the one who brought me here but doesn't even know it.  This place has been my sanity on more than one occasion!  (Now that's a scary thought.)

Thank you all VERY much...we sometimes take people for granted when they do so much for us and ask little in return.

Thank you Poet deVine for writing such a nice poem for the MAN who we all should be honoring. Would someone from England see if the Queen Mother would mind christening him as "Sir Ron".
