Knowing

it came in slow, you
     were unaware
it snuck on up, like time
over yesterday
      still unaware
pinking in through the
slats
      the gold of the day
still, warming
your heart

full

green gilds the memory

and your smile?

becomes all knowing.

My smile is knowing
only because you showed me
where to find my heart

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth

There is a thing as simply knowing. And you certainly seem to posses that. What for a ?, have you no answers direct.

Excellent! Softly woven and in all the words both comfort and a bit of something else...

I hopelessly, helplessly, wonder why
Everything gotta change around me
I’d tell it to your face,
But you lost your face along the way...
