Feathers Of Your Wings

To know that peaks of joy exist
You must compare a graph, a list.
Of valley’s bright with sun and green
And rugged mountains lean and mean.

Start your feet on their mundane way
Make the rounds of your mundane day.
Lower yourself into your well
Of all past hurt and all past hell

Only then can you tweak the peaks
Against the base of darkest bleaks
Expose your world and fly your dove
Into the high and low of love

For freedoms made of living things
Those feathers grown upon your wings
Shown in the light and dark of hue
That shines within your eyes and you.

It is a window of your soul
It is a doorway to your goal.

Well done my friend.
A doorway it is,indeed.

Wonderful, Seymour!  The flow of this is superb, the message grand.

I do wonder if 'graft' is the word you want here, however.  It of course means to graft together one plant with another, and also to receive money dishonestly.  I might not have read the definitions completely enough to come to the one you're using here, but I couldn't find one that seemed to fit.  Please teach me if you meant this word.  I'm wondering if you meant 'graph.'

Ah Seymour you're writing such learned and sage lines these days!!  Great writing!
I think I might be able to live with these great lines!!

               "Lower yourself into your well
Of all past hurt and all past hell

Only then can you tweak the peaks
Against the base of darkest bleaks
Expose your world and fly your dove
Into the high and low of love

For freedoms made of living things
Those feathers grown upon your wings
Shown in the light and dark of hue
That shines within your eyes and you.

It is a window of your soul
It is a doorway to your goal."

If I were to tell where I liked your words best, I'd have to qoute the whole poem.....
Indeed, such wisdom........
so much is said in so little and amidst peaks of mountains and doves of love......

Thank you for such a read.......
