with a vintage outlook of this day’s chore,
seeking to outrun the imminent torrent,
tirelessly eluding the overpowering wind,
nature’s spectacles stay ahead with innate insight...

luxury of a leaf’s hammock in the gusts,
enhancing their abundance with each variation,
verdant instincts stabilizing the journey’s foundation,
no rival can outdo the defense of inherent aptitude...

relinquishing the safety of a leafy sanctuary,
venturing out to territory not easily passable,
successfully dodging the adversary’s onslaught,
the reward of another day’s demand fulfilled awaits...

everytime I close my eyes,
I see your face,
I taste you on my lips...
every night I fantasize
that I can feel you on my fingertips...

What a beautiful poem Snowpants! The loss of our wetlands by overdeveloping has caused a fresh water shortage in the earth..... so when I see someone who appreciates these delicacies of nature and the wisdom that abounds there, it just makes me so happy.

This is an excellent write and the pictures are just as good!! thanks!

interesting take on things. Some wonderful images here, maybe memories of a past life and if you were a frog I hope I was not one of the bugs you ate.
Really enjoyed this poem.
