"what time is it"
I pause, "about 12:30"
the man thanks me
and I turn my back

sharp pains blossom
between the ribs of my back
and I collapse as I hear
the man rustling in my jacket

blackness, choking
gagging on a tube in my throat
forcing my eyes open
all I see is blue scrubs and blood

feeling light headed
are they talking to me
I just want to let the light
wash me away

"What time is it"
"it's 1:15 doctor"
"Ok call it"
"time of death 1:15"
