~*~ Pixie Dust ~*~

As you blow on the *pixie dust* to fairyland,
Prisms of color twinkle in breezes from your hand.
Now we sit back all cuddly and be patient,
For our minds to take us to fantasyland.

What do you hear when there’s only a sound,
Of the whispering wind whistling in the night?
What do you see when the sun has gone down,
And now there’s only a glimmer of light?

Do you hear that music, playing soft as the rain?
And those little voices tinkling like bees?
As we sit so quietly under the moon and stars,
Let's imagine we're there with the fairies.

They hide in the shadows between awake and asleep.
Look one’s beside you!  Oh my, they don’t stay too long.
Do you see the fairies, and elves all in green?
Can you hear the whispers as they sing a song?

Let’s follow that whispering wind for a while,
And wish three times on that shiny star –
Maybe we’ll be lucky, who knows – one day,
We will see where the fairies and elves are.

But for now we will just cuddle and read a story,
For the pixie dust you sprinkled will work really soon,
Your little eyes will close on another busy day,
As the fairies and elves play under the moon.

*Pixie dust= colored sugar = sleep! (it works!)

I always love to read your poems, the pixie pictures; unicorn music - so musical it is. This is a keeper for me.

Life is to short to not appreciate all of nature's gifts. As I sit & ponder in awe - quietly.

Sharon this is enchanting and wonderful...
I hope you are making some kind of book for your grandaughter to treasure.
Very lovely in verse and vision

Im searchin for my warrior
walkin the tracks of time
this struggle to seek forgiveness
like chains and shackles...these ghosts of mine
