Deep in the heart

0 posted 2001-06-02 04:02 PM

The words boil up from the well of me
From the still of me
The will of me
How do I speak all these words to thee
From the core of me
Give more of me
As I approach and reach out to thee
From the love in me
The soul of me
Thee take offered hand and set me free
I give all to thee
My love to thee
Thy love in return is all I see
How thee give to me
Life back to me
I know thy love is the whole of me
‘Tis the breath of me
Nay, not me, WE

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth
