I don't know why it's Friday night
& I'm sitting here thinking of you
thirteen hundred fifty one miles away

I don't know how you make me forget
about all the troubles in my life
the crap I went through today

I don't know when it was I decided
you were worth investing my time
but you make me smile

I don't know where we'll ever meet
Seattle is so far away
it may take me awhile

I don't know who would have thought
I'd ever meet someone
I guess my prayers were heard above

I don't know what has come over me
I'm happy just thinking of you
this crazy thing they call love

Hoping a song for you
to share to sing for life
in minor or major keys
that he as she is always there

"The past my prison, confined in solitary voiceless penance."

Nobody seems to know why that crazy little thing called love affects a person to the point of almost making them simple sometimes! But hey it happens! That feeling cannot be matched by any other feeling I can think about on the face of the earth!   Nice work here!

WELCOME!  to Passions what a great start!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

Welcome to Passions!  Around here, you will find many talented poets and even more compassionate folk! We laugh, cry, sigh, write, and write some more.  Some of us are voracious readers....

so sit back, enjoy, and if you ever have a question, why, that's what us Moderators are for...we LOVE answering questions!

Welcome!

a great entry piece of a poem - welcome to a PIP.

Life is to short to not appreciate all of nature's gifts. As I sit & ponder in awe - quietly.
