At the edge and a doorway,TX

Shadows glaze pictures against
dark mirrored walls as sunlight
slowly peers through the draped windows
I watch my lover pack and walk out the door
Try as I might, images return to my scattered mind
We love, we shared, we cared together
Now this...
One sound uttered fromt he clock across the hall
"Let me hold you one more time" reels over and over in my head
I hear my words bounce off the recess of my lonely heart
While cats mewl in pain as tortured screams violate
my dreams
My lips are touched and left as a single teardrop runs down my face

Love me forever, but love me no more....

Oh my....this was quietly sad....like a whisper of pain. Wonderfully done and it's SO nice to see you here again.

This one hits, Ladycat. A girl left me once very long ago and I heard myself saying "please kiss me one more time", hating myself for saying it and being unable to stop the words...it is a pathetic feeling..
