Sonnet to Lady Ashley

My lovely Ashley, lady of the south
You glow in summer evening’s scent of balm
The twilight’s luminescence on your mouth
Reflects its soft wet beauty, still and calm

The moon defines the fullness of your breast
As angel hair sways back and forth with ease
Draped down in long and graceful moonlit tress
In motions of the wisps of summer breeze

Would you pass by this gently just for me?
Or is it that your lover waits below
As moon adorns your movements, graciously
And Spanish moss waves slowly as you flow

The Ashley and the Cooper join at sea
And flow together there eternally

this is so lovely and softly sensual...
the imagery and emotion is just so beautiful and romantic.
I do so enjoy being sonnetized
wonderful write Liz.

I'm hanging on your every word
Even if you dont want to speak tonite
It's alright
I'm sitting outside heaven's door
listening to you breathe

This is another great write from your pen Elizabeth. It's so smooth and warm flowing, with wonderful images throughout. Love the mood too!  Great work!

Liz,

There are so many lovely lines in this sonnet that I would find it difficult to pick a favorite.  Such nice work here, my friend.  So nice!
