See This Man

See this man who is standing there
With this man my life I would share
I want to walk beside him all my days
Dance in his arms as the music plays
I would spend my days in endless bliss
Held in love and wrapped in his kiss
But I can’t in honesty call him mine
My heart won’t in his light ever shine

See this man who is all I ever desire
With this man I could dance in fire
My soul would live ever in his light
My eyes besotted by his dear sight
I would hold him close to my heart
Telling him that I’d never depart
But I can’t truthfully say I love you
He has someone else to who he’s true

See this man who has my hearts eye
With this man I could live and die
My heart would give anything to stay
Any sacrifice or any price I would pay
I would be enraptured for all eternity
Protected by my love from fates cruelty
But I can’t pretend that he is for me
There’s another who has his priority

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

This is excellent. Life is complicated especially when we find the one we know we'd be happy with, but someone else found them first. These two lines let it know it will never be.
But I can’t pretend that he is for me
There’s another who has his priority

Seems like the good ones are taken or don't want to be taken...yet we all seem to be recirculated eventually...James
