I saw a rainbow today,
And remembered how you'd call;
Wanting me to see, before it went away.
The phone didn't ring today, not at all.

I saw a rainbow today
And my thoughts turned to you.
You who so loved that colorful display.
I wonder, might you have seen it too?

Were those colors as bright and wide,
In the wonders of the sky?
Are they the same from the other side;
From away up there so high?

I saw a rainbow today.

oh Joyce this is written so bittersweetly and tenderly...
a touching poetic mixture of memories, longing and traces left behind....
yes..the view from up there...looking down...seeing you in the rainbow.

I'm hanging on your every word
Even if you dont want to speak tonite
It's alright
I'm sitting outside heaven's door
listening to you breathe

Joyce:  Lovely!  Rainbows are so special I think.  Maybe he sent it to you?

Yes, I like to believe that a rainbow is being sent from the other side to someone who needs to know there is still hope. You did a beautiful job of sharing hope in this one.
