Long ago

there was a dream
                               waiting
to be opened in life
                                by gesture
the gesture
                  of you
but though being there at the
time you wanted much to be
that part of mine, to be
        the hill I should climb

there was a dream, waiting

There was a share
                              of moment
not knowing
                     but hoping
to be
                                      that share of shares

that
           you of me

but in the real of the
dark did you not feel the
real depart
          there, in the share
                          of the moment

There, was the blend of
soul
nothing new in yet this spring
of unfold
        nothing said not already
old
and in that new, we knew of soul

the lines foretold
          this gift of gold
                     this gift of bold

this gift untold in two
          of two
                     of me
                                of you

Long ago
     you foretold of a destiny
that only your eyes
                                 could see

a gift you gave, yet
remained a gift, whole
for no one yet
            had unwrapped your soul

Long ago
                and yet in dream
I foresaw in lonesome beam
                no one would see what
I thought I saw
and now I stand before you
                in awe

Long ago
            you centered my soul
long ago, I was your voice
            of old
in rhyme in time in complex
            of keen
long ago, in all lost dreams
            I come to you,
                                    yet again

The set up of this compliments it beautifully.  My compliments.

I agree with JLR.
And, I think that this is the kind of poem that reveals the enjoyment that comes with writing.  I believe that you got a lot out of writing this.  I can feel that, and I didn't write it.
Thank you for the read.

LadyInWhite~
I would hope you knew that I'd love this write -

'Long ago
            you centered my soul
long ago, I was your voice
            of old'

Oh ... it's spiritual and so touching.
Thank you for such gentle thoughts to share.
