Nothing like it

Awesome are the shimmering bright…that spill across the northern lights.
Spreading zany colored hues…that mesmerize the mind in views.
A banding done by nature’s hand…astonishing and more then grand
A mystic flight of ghostly flare…that magic’s up the artic air.

A butterfly that’s dressed in gay…spinning round the Milky Way
Yet I stood as if quite still…breathing frost that fell in spill.
While wonders of celestials sky…filled the empty of my eye.
That gives to us an optic rare…for all to see and all to stare.

Allowing me with gleaners gleam…a misty gleam of dreamers dream.
A wellspring and a wishing well…a magic loom to fly a spell
I lift my arms to heavens bright…and wish upon this beauties light
To take me up to graces door…where I could dream of evermore.

And I have flown a spell or two…captured by this wondrous view
A butterfly in gracious light…that flew within its spacious bright
It’s here I found a magic way…to nullify a tragic stay.
And never have I matched its touch…except for love or such of such.

It’s something that I recommend…just an offer, friend to friend
Sigh yourself, a butterfly…and fly the northern lights red eye.

I love to read about those Norhern lights, Seymour.

Seymour~
Popping this beauty to the top ...

'A mystic flight of ghostly flare…that magic’s up the artic air.'

*Loving the thought of 'magic's up' !
Wonderful illusionary aura throughout this one.

I had no idea when I clicked onto this poem title that I would be under the aurora again, on a warm early summer evening, in the land of the midnight sun. Last winter presented us with some reasonably  good auroras here in the "Interior" of Alaska, but I did not capture a single image on paper. Thanks for doing such a fine job.

Marge,
Sorry I can't pop you up, but your already at the top of my list. *L*

Elisabeth,
Thank you sweet poet. Sy

Midnitsun,
The aurors I was writing about, lived some sixty years ago. But I am sure they are just as beautiful today. Thank you for the read.

Suthern,
They are exactly like JM's pictures. Even more beautiful when you stand under them. *L* Sy

Hi Sy,

I have not had the pleasure of seeing them for myself but you made them sound so wonderous and beautiful, this is true poetry at its best I enjoyed very much.

Love, Cerenity
