~* In A Storm Of Silent Tears *~

In a storm of silent tears,
I stroll along silently, slowly,
Shuffling my heart through the rain.
I freeze amidst the biting, cruel,
Crystalline droplets,
Of everlasting life.
Seeking nourishment
From heaven and earth.

I am so miniscule,
In the scheme of things.
Among the thirsting trees,
Flowers, fields, mountains,
Rivers and oceans.

My mind's thoughts,
Flow downstream in sluices,
So very paralytic,
Is this cold,
And ever flowing,
Sad train of thought.

I repeat the same verse or rhyme,
A common chronograph,
The entire universe,
Of sad souls everywhere share.
The same words, like drops of rain,
Falling down in a stream of "why?"

I taste salt through the rain,
I wonder how hearts are fractured.
And suddenly I feel the salt sting,
I flinch, as I can suddenly feel,
My hollow, and empty heart.

The droplets fall softly first,
Streaming down like my past,
Floating as on wings,
Then begins beating like a drum,
Now drop-by-drop, by drop,
Each rivulet reflects the past.

My thoughts, now cascade,
In raging torrents,
Flowing from a heart so cold,
And slowly I walk on unnoticed,
In a storm of silent tears.
