Howdy Cousin!
Welcome in,
Sit on down,
and rest your skin.

Coffee's hot
Griddle's steamin'
Ma's a cookin'
Kids are dreamin'

Pa's a sawin'
logs and such.
Granny's gittin'
out o' touch

Junior's plannin'
Saturday's dance
Sis is primpin'
for her beau Chance.

Me, I'm waitin'
with bells and bow,
So, come on in;
You're sure to know

That fam'ly's special
they're next of kin
they're just as special
as bathtub gin!

This poem would sound just right on Hee Haw!!I do know if I want relatives to drop in all I have to do is not clean house and have left overs to eat. Sure enough they all show up and give me that look. You know the one that says, "what a lazy wife our kin folk married".
