~*~ For Forever Waits ~*~

My heart and the sky are in sync,
Both raging with the same desire.
I see him in the distance,
And I sense his smile and laughter.
His face silhouetted against the light,
Finely chiseled, with life, and love
Ignites the fire in my soul,
Electricity begins flowing through me.

I walk on, no purpose and no means,
Nowhere really to go, but to him.
No one else draws me like he does.
And as I walk on deeper,
Further into the winding maze of him,
There he quietly stands, waiting.
A stream of light pours over him,
Highlighting his golden hair, and,
I shiver in my mind's vision of love.

He looks at me and smiles,
My heart begins a symphony of love.
His face, dynamic, so intriguing,
I cannot help but stare.
And yet in his deep green eyes,
I sense such sadness and loss,
This sadness he cannot share.
His lost love holds him hostage,
And hurt and fear have become the bars,
Keeping his love under lock and key.

Overwhelmed by desire,
But torn by his despair,
I wonder more about him,
About the pain I see inside.
At the very thought I turn away,
Unable to bear his suffering.
Slowly, with hidden tears, I turn back,
And take his weathered hands.
Again, he smiles, and I feel his squeeze.
There is no hurry,
For forever waits.

forever indeed is always there....it is certainly up to us how we attend to it, and walk towards it....

Wow, Fantastic, a lot to look at in this poem, The picture is great . How did you manage to get the music playing as well, that was cool . The actual poem didn't disapoint, brilliant use of imagery at the start . I'm glad I'm not the only one who has one of those people . Thanks very much .

Another heart melting creation of absolute beauty, Sharon.  And yes, forever does, indeed, wait for destined love to embrace it...that is the purpose it holds...and the wait shall be worth the rewards that shall be reaped ~*~eternally~*~
Now that I'm getting all mushy at this early afternoon hour...I'll close with a simple..
"I loved it, and I love ya muches"....

I am so glad that you all enjoyed this and indeed forever does wait. I think that it is what do, during the time it takes to get there (whatever that is), that really counts...or in other words, "don't sweat the small stuff"!  So pleased you liked this one.
