northern moons float out
in curves that end beyond sight
distant horizons

slip behind mountains
where the Pacific ocean
ceases existence

Neptune bides his time
fork in hand ready to strike
fear into brave hearts

somewhere over a rainbow
a child is born of woman

Hey Julian it's good to read your poetry......I liked these lines and their depth.....

                                "Neptune bides his time
fork in hand ready to strike
                                 fear into brave hearts

                               somewhere over a rainbow
a child is born of woman"

Very good work!!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie

This was a beautifully constructed poem, and thank you for telling me the structure, I am afraid I am not much of a poet I guess, as I had never heard of a double entendre in poetry, but I sure hear enough every day in general.  Great read!

Mysteria and Marge: thank you. I love to write out of both sides of my pen as it were, and could not resist combining myths of the seas with the seas and moons of inter-space.
