~Ecstatic Exaltation~

This devoted heart finds needed respite
in your eyes burning through the night.
The sweet songs of gay abandon
commit us to acts both meditated and random.
Like wild fairies, children of the night,
conceiving in fairest furrow beyond sight.

In the mystic hours of midnight blue,
azure stars fall in sparks of sapphire hue.
As the winds carry us in ethereal caress,
I surrender to the celestial brilliance you possess.
I offer in sacrifice my innocence to you,
on alters of desire we can no longer subdue.

Dreamily resting, eagerly captivated by your knees
our sallow tongues dance caressing in tease.
The ecstatic effigies of lust flowering
on vapoured skin blazing, muscles mingling.
With only our carnal rites to please,
we retrace our opulent wilderness with ease.

In this garden of Eden, in this scene of serene ...
in this emerald forest, bathed in Luna's sheen.
Under jaded moon we meet at the water's edge,
our bodies beg to match what our heart's pledge.
Flora and fauna to witness the desire between,
as we cross the keen of ecstasy and obscene.

A mass of flesh exalts in gentle sigh,
in its cradle two sleeping lovers lie.
Their bodies wrapped in solid embrace,
promises of better worlds anoint each face.
Sleep rewards their love beneath an evening sky,
even in dreams their shared adoration thus shine.

Well first things first HUGE THANKS to JAn for making me and my lazy muse work extra hard and for choosing the hard rhyming scheme   and for being the best writing partner any poet could ask for. And that excuse about your muse While writing this poem, I saw through it in the end, you crafty thing you did not want me to feel under pressure trying to keep up with your brilliance.

To Kathleen, Sandra, POetM and Karliea, thank you so much for your beautiful comments.

Wow! What an emotionally intense piece of work!

"In the mystic hours of midnight blue,
azure stars fall in sparks of sapphire hue.
As the winds carry us in ethereal caress,
I surrender to the celestial brilliance you possess.
I offer in sacrifice my innocence to you,
on alters of desire we can no longer subdue."

Now that's poetry!

"Dreamily resting, eagerly captivated by your knees
our sallow tongues dance caressing in tease.
The ecstatic effigies of lust flowering
on vapoured skin blazing, muscles mingling.
With only our carnal rites to please,
we retrace our opulent wilderness with ease."

If you two keep this up you'll have to get a room....just joking!  Beautiful poetry!

Brian a word to you...If Janet Marie can't inspire you then no one can!

Janet my poet pet this is absolutely wonderful! Youe skills keep growing and growing!

"We'll raise our toast to pleasures past
They came so quick and went so fast
Idle boasts, crazy ghosts
We'll make our toast and drain the glass
We're know we're out of favour
We can't expect no saviour
We're looking to the future but we keep one eye on the past

Well time may heal, and absence mend
We'll raise our glass to absent friends
[ere] they dwell we wish them well
To those we wronged we'll make amends
We're know we're out of favour
We can't expect no saviour
We're looking to the future but we keep one eye on the past

It's time to change and start anew
To leave our home for pastures new
Where we go, ah, we won't know
It's something that we got to do
We're don't expect no favour
We can't expect no saviour
We're looking to the future but we'll keep one eye on the past"

thank you very much everyone for your generous and kind replies...
you guys are the best!!
I cant take much credit for this one...
Bri was the one who inspired this and made my cliche' verses work with his unique style.
And he gets credit for the cool title and rhyme scheme as well (nice try Bri)

For anyone whose muse is not offering much or who hasnt tried this...
writing with some one else is a great way to push yourself, and make a great friend.

Thanks again Bri...you always make me look good.
