Love’s Gauze

you
cleansed me
in the shower
of your tears
a healing
of so
many fears

then when I cried
in your arms
you held me close
I felt
so worthless
in a hurt
to expose

you
knew just
what to do to
polish all my
flaws
and hold me
together
with
love’s gauze

empty
for so long
now it’s gone
walls I built
start to
be withdrawn

now
there is
another chapter
happy ever after
it’s not where
the story ends
it’s where
it begins

Love's gauze...what a lovely blend of words...we forget how fragile it can sometimes be...
