Softly the night tickles inspirations,
Making them trickle in the breeze,
Like blades of grass whispering with bowed heads.
As the trees move in languid summer dance,
Swaying slightly as to some slow secret music,
There are instances of being outside insistently arising,
And reaching out for me to join the dance.
I watch the fire and the flames build into a frenzy,
Wind whipped and fretfully licking freshly cut wood,
And sanely supress the urge,
To do some wild exotic dance as if to mimick,
The desperate flinging of embers streaking the air.
There is mystery of movement just beyond the darkness,
And the black depths of the forrest beckon for my uninhibited exploration.
The moon smiles through a canvas of treetops,
As always, finding its way to my weakened body,
And I smile back in fond reward,
Tilting my head upward to recieve,
His smooth silvery tongued kiss.
Things are amiss in the smooth tones of nature,
And softly there is secret symphony of sounds,
Casting their gifts in my ears,
As if there were a buzz of rumor within the woods,
That a poet sits with open senses,
Ready to write the lyrics to the magical majestic of music.

it would appear that you are listening. . .

this sings with those voices. . .

And the forest smiled its secret smile to your departing back, knowing only a matter of time will bring you back to the solitude of the darkness and glow of firelight.
ahh, you have done well again, my good friend..Logan

Sunshine,
Thank you.

Watersign6,
Thank you, and if I haven't said it before, thanks for reading my work. I have noticed and just haven't said thanks yet.

Sven,
Yes. I listened with all of myself open as I often try to do, then tried with all my might to communicate it here. I'm glad it came through to you. Thank you for reading, Friend.

Ahh...
Logan,
So this is how to get you out of hiding, eh?   I do indeed feel the draw to go back, so let it smile as I can feel it soaking my spirit from behind. I'm so glad you enjoyed, and honored that you were moved to post a comment. Thank you, sweet guardian. ((Hugs))
