I sit alone in the silence
waiting to hear the oh so familiar
sound of your footstep
at the front door.

In this silence I hear the
echoes of a yesterday
where your laughter
was heavy on
the springtime air.

I can feel your arms
wrapped tightly around me
as you soft whispered
your words of passion
and so much more.

Imprinted in my soul
are these moments of warmth,
buried like a treasure
to be handled only with
love and care.

I sit lingering
here in this silence,
and for a moment
my heart again finds peace
within these thoughts
of you.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

I'm hanging on your every word
Even if you dont want to speak tonite
It's alright
