Sorry I Have To Go

Oh how I loved the time I spent with
such a beautiful woman as she.
Her tender heart touched me so.
Her soft kisses warmed my soul.
She's all that I want
and all that I need.
And yet she's running away from me.
Go sweet angel.
Fly away.
I know that most will go
while only a few will stay.
I remain thankful
we had our day.

James, it's time to stop trying to hold on to things that aren't there and to start looking for what is. . .

excellent words. . .

Hi JamesMichael,

This is beautifully sad, sometimes love is so elusive, but I have to say that I am so glad it is not you going, I cherish are small moments of sharing in the beauty of poetry togethter, some day you are going to make someone a wonderful husband,I just know it.

Love, Cerenity

Yes, you had me worried for a minute, too...I am glad to see this isn't what I thought.  Sad poem, but nicely written, James...

You are masterful in "photographing" feelings with very little "film"...  feelings, I might add, to which it seems most of us can relate.  I hope that special lady finds you and appreciates you for who you are...

James,

I too was pulled in because I thought you were saying good-bye to passions.  I'm glad I was wrong.. your heartfelt and sweet words would be sorely missed.  I am sorry for your loss.. but as you said.. be thankful for the time you had and head toward the future.
