Listening to every heart

~*~

in cool May morn light
unfolds in stunning array
peace, she comes today

~*~

To commemorate the end of World War II,
Conrad Pyle christened this the
“Peace Rose.”
The rose, introduced formally the day
Berlin fell on April 29, 1945, is a
shining example of the ability of
humans to persevere even in the
worst of circumstances and a signal
of the beginning of a new era,
for to plant Peace in one’s garden
is to plant a legacy of remembrance
and history.

"The Peace Rose" is an English classic,
delicately colored with a gorgeous
fragrance. Even the thorns add a
special character to the rose,
serving as a sharp reminder to
fingers that pick without considering
the consequences.

Yes, I do like this. Peace is a beautifull rose, it stands for her name, when she is near you can't stay angry.
Very nice write. Thank you

A rose lover for ever.

Karilea I love this, and at the Canadian/US border are rows of Peace Roses at the Peace Arch that you go through to leave Canada and enter the US through Bellingham, in Washington.  I will think of you every time I go through that now sweet lady.

Sweet, beautiful rose, and a perfect message for all.
In memory of the people lost over the years, the many wars. And in thanks to the surviving vets, I add my thoughts and prayers.
