Fate's Wings

In the paradise of poetry
we are wing to butterfly
dazzle to kaleidoscope
glowing star to Luna sky
in this chapel of holy union
sailing the serenity of love
dewdrops cascade from eyes
pure as timeless dove
romancing emotion of our souls
o'er the arch of rainbow bliss
golden promise of heaven's radiance
awakening within a kiss
of divine dance of delight
building sandcastles in time
kindred soulmates, angels of feather
that awe to harmony and rhyme
sacred vows of a groom and his bride
endless spirit of lovers wild
cherishing this gift of fate
such fervor of a child
adrift on ovations of rosepetals
and lullabies of ocean ballet
carried by this priceless bond
across enrapture of Cupid bay
whils't wing caresses wing
enwrapped in the lips of breeze
on the whispered song of destiny
sweet supple reveries
blessed by days of the hourglass
honey suckled dreams at play
forever within a moment
this love so tender shall stay
through gingered oasis of dawn
flying together, ever free
man and woman...heart to heart
for the rest of eternity

This is beautifully done, Melissa. Your imagery is magical--I loved the phrase "rainbow bliss."

Melissa,
WOW, You have packed so much meaning in to such a compressed space, it bears re-reading over and over again to open up all the mental pictures you have crafted here. A beautiful tapestry of Love and devotion!
I am definately saving this one in my library to visit it often. Did I say WOW?
Peace unto you my friend, Dennis :^)

Absolutely lovely, Melissa, did you or someone you know just get married?  This is so wonderful in all aspects!

btw, I have several in the first 200 and some in the 2nd 200 that have had only 1 response so they have sunk down quickly.  I don't think it's because they're bad poems, though.  Some are silly, though. heh heh heh  I'm speaking of Open #14.
