Heart of a Kindred Spirit

Finally he would know
that he had to let go.
Was he strong enough to let go?
Does he want to let go?
Will he let go?
I think so.
I hope so.
Let's hope so.
And what is lost?
What can be gained?
Perhaps an unobtainable dream
or goal is layed to rest.
Perhaps a new dream enriched with hope
is standing ready to engage our desires.
For it is good to try and we will not always succeed.
But we only fail if we miss the transition phase.
Sometimes it's time to reach out for love and understanding.
And sometimes it's time to let go and move forward.
This is the method to employ in hopes of finding the heart of a kindred spirit.

I must say, I certainly do endorse your main theme. Letting go, is well, often essential to things. How nicely worded.

Letting go is so hard, and yet sometimes so freeing. Great poem.

one of the hardest things in life is learning to let go and you never learn how to do it but poems like this make it a little easier to get through it...well done
