I can feel the chill settle
as the ice once again
begins to crystalize
across this heart slowly.

Once it had seemed
to take way to long
for me to allow
the warmth to regain
access to my heart
until......

until that day
when you reached
past my heart
and warmed my soul
with your love.

Now time has changed
what once was,
into something
that might be again.....
and I fear~

I fear that
with each passing day
the chill will prevail
as this ice again forms,
crystalizing,
covering this heart,
protecting it
like a shield until......

until perhaps again
the warmth will not
be able to penetrate
this fortress~

this fortress of ice
around my heart.

Dont build those walls to high, allow the sun to shines its warmth, and always keep your arms ready....when the dove returns it may just need a place to rest it's head....
