The numbers mean interaction for me, my friends. I place value on the fact that I've been blessed to be able to interact even this small amount on such wonderful boards..surrounded by such wonderful friends..and an all consuming infectious passion.

The dust settles as I look around,
Objects of affection nearing my fingertips,
Like old sentimental prom pictures.
Seeing this life and what I have learned,
Always having the courage and talent,
To reach out with words,
In such a way that makes the soul stretch a little further.
Beyond the pain, the passion, the truth, the lies,
I've alway had this relentless gift,
To create with lightning bolt swiftness,
A safe haven of words for which my life to shine through.
As I stand her thinking I'm nearing some edge,
Finally going to be able to see a little further down,
Perhaps even fall a bit into the brilliant chasm that is me,
I think that I will try to do so with a smile in the end,
No matter where it takes me,
This road,
The new step forward,
And then maybe the ones after that first one,
Won't be so difficult to take.
And this could be a declaration for tomorrow and my future,
Or this could just be a declaration,
To get me through the next few moments of my life.
I know not the outcome after these words,
For I have learned that perhaps we are all too perfectionists for planning our lives,
When our lives really aren't in our hands at all.
But then again,
They say your life is what you make it.
Ahh..
My friends.
I do not know.
For although I have been called wise beyond my years,
I simply see myself struggling to grow more every day,
Just as everyone else tries.
But we, the Poets,
The people of passion made of the depth of life,
Will always remain constant to the words.
And if for just one moment I am moved to smile,
While the wind tickles my face,
I will cherish it as if such a moment will never happen again.
If a person deems it necessary to smile at me,
I will be as enchanted as a child with the shapes in the clouds.
As a poet, a growing all consuming passion,
I promise to open myself wider,
And spread my wings to places within myself and outside of myself,
That even the bravest of spirits are wary to go.
Will you fly with me?

Well put together.. you seem tp pull forth how a poet can feel.. how some of us tend to seprate from the rest of this wacked out world.
