Cleaning out my freezer

Living in the countryside I need a freezer or two
for meat and bread, for fish and meat I fill them up I do

But once in a while I have to look for 'oldies' there inside
for after long things may go wrong at least I think they might

So I take out what's there inside that looks the same to me
after defrosting it appears how wrong sometimes I'd be

All the fish that I have catched I cleaned them to the bone
I turned them into a fishy soup my husband did not moan

Today? Today is chickenday and there were quite a lot
and they are cooking for long time I put them in a pot

Tomorrow I will clean them all so I have only meat
and make them into dinners I need some books to read

Looking at the size of pan you'll think we are with ten
but only Henk and I will eat till we no longer can

The rest I put in boxes back to the freezer they go
and unespected dinnerguests will never get a 'no'

A rose is a rose is a rose...I guess...

Titia!  You could move into my part of the universe and always be a welcome home to come to!  Exactly how it is done, here!

Enjoyed!

Titia,

Delightful!     It reminds me that I have my own fridge and freezer to clean out.
