Latitude Of Attitude
~*Marge Tindal*~

Somewhere in the vortex of degrees
we meet upon a plane of recognition
Attitude meets latitude
circling the longitude
seeking the meridian hour with you

From Asu (sunrise) to Ereb (sunset)
I navigate my way to you

Now not only was that really clever, it was fantastic and very "worldly" too!

Margie girl utterly fabulous piece of writing. You surely have an outstanding talent, there is no one alive who can write with such skill and wonder as you do.

My dearest sister YOU consistantly shine so brightly and I love it.

Take care love as always

Your poetry is always so unpredictable
What else is swirling around in your head?
This was original ans clever
Now there are no excuses why two people can't get together, with a little attitude, of course

The thoughts came to splash in my inkwell -
bringing a search for the lovely graphic.
I am often astonished at how much I can learn
when doing a search for graphics.
Thank you for enjoying this.

GreenEyes~
Thanks, hon.
You got caught in the middle of my replying to others ...
Thank you soooooooo much for enjoying that reference ...
quote:
From Nova-
The quarters we know today as east and west, the Phoenicians knew as Asu (sunrise) and Ereb (sunset), labels that live today in the names Asia and Europe.

The philosopher Thales of Miletos, as the Alexandrian poet Kallimachos recorded, taught Ionian sailors to navigate by the Little Bear constellation fully 600 years before the birth of Christ:

Now to Miletos he steered his course
That was the teaching of old Thales
Who in bygone days gauged the stars
Of the Little Bear by which the Phoenicians
Steered across the seas

-Alexandrian poet Kallimachos

I am always amazed at the groundwork laid by ancient navigators.
*Hugs* to you.
