My Sister (ok dd this one is for you)

my sister
means the world
to me
she is the goddess
of light
she has the gift
to heal
she has the gift
of sight
she teaches me
of things
I don’t
understand
and no matter
where I am
her hand
is always
in my hand
her blood
is my blood
but not the tie
that binds
it’s more the way
I know her
and she knows me
that we are
entwined
and if
for my life
I had to choose
only one friend
it would be
you forever
and would I change
my mind……
never

This is sooooo beautiful! I so can relate to this one. I have an older sister, and younger sister, and a twin sister and the three of us are the best of friends. I enjoyed this tremendously.

Helen, my sweet sister. What an honor and a blessing you are to me. Thank you for the lovely poem and for your friendship. It brought tears to my eyes and joy to my soul.
