Fragile illusions
gaze back at me in
shadowed mirrors
awash in tear stains
like the pastels of color
running hopelessly together
that have lost their borders

I wait for time to pass
For a morning that I wake
seeing clearly where I end
For distinct lines
I can't see through
For moments lived
in the present
and years buried
in the past

I wait for time

Today is tomorrow, clearer I'm sure it will be.  Wonderful, pen.
