Cocoa desert in warm breeze caress
weeps its harvest as candied hearts melt,
into the virgin tide.
all summer's subside.

My tongue trails on opiate
twirls of sumptuous faith,
Smitten lips spiralling you
drenched in dairy due.

One kiss anointing
your mire brow, salvia dances
from tongue to flesh,
expounding waves of vanilla

caressing foundling foreplay forthright
frenzied frenzied frenzied……………

In my madness you are no more
erased to a passing pleasure
a sharpening wind and tempered summer.
I stand replenished, your hollow shell held absently.

This evidence taunts my sweet denial.
Your burial is quick in pace,
a bland meal forced,
unlike the ravage of your murder.

Teeth crushing an arid cone,
an ideology confirmed with genocide.
Chomp, in sinks the molars of morality
then the incisors of intellect
lastly the premolars of belated penance.

The canines bare un-atoned for the kill.

==================

Thanks to Ro for the inspiration. Bet you did not see something like this coming.

Decaflame, thanks.... sweet is a word I am not used to hearing when someone talks about my poetry.

serenity, thanks for your wonderful response. Cool just remember to bring some vanilla ice cream

JLR, oh yes icecream is one of the major food groups don't you know.

Temptress, thanks

snowpants, thanks

Jan, I even take eating icecream very seriously, I like my ice cream sprinkled with loads of metaphors.

Kathleen, I live on the edge no dental floss. oh dear did I hear the "d" word (deep)
guess I am what I am

Martie, sorry to hear that you are allergic to cows.

Ruth, enjoy that ice cream

SF, I was just out in the wilderness for a while, they have no ice cream out there.  .
Thank you for your very kind words.

Paula, I am 54 flavours wow, I never knew that lol  thanks

Victoria, well make sure that you treat yourself sometimes as well. almost as good as slim fast   now I am offended.

NCC, 31 flavours, call me a traditionist. vanilla is fine for me.

ethome, just to clarify I am not dating the ice cream it is just such a treat to eat. YUm

welcome back, brian

now this is very cool writing...an original subject matter notwithstanding...i like the change of tone within the poem itself...it starts whimiscal, then turns darker, more mysterious for me....

do stay here a while...
