who’s hooked?

took me
he did
into the calm
of me
centered me
with one look
he the Cap’n
with his
hook
wiggled not
did I,
not a whit
onto his line
I gladly
bit

centered now
by his guile
rendered
now
by might
of smile
and shameless,
now I
for want
of more
willingly
seek but
will not
implore

“nay, Sire
not I
to request
this
familiarity
but if thy
hand
by its own
behest
‘twould find
it’s way
alone,”

while
a smile,
my smile
might find
it’s
winsome
way home

To be caught thus, is the best catch.  Loved this!

This is bittersweet and an interesting perspective.  It gives me an idea about something to write.  I liked this much.

Love is a bait that is always bitten, Decaflame really enjoyed this poem

Brutal and mocking but always therea crutch for enmity's saddest glare"

I wonder who is truly hooked herein. A lovely working of metaphor.
