Is this a Haiku?
I really need to know now
I hope that it is

More a Senryu, as Haiku deals with nature on a 5-7-5 count of syllables.  Senryu deals with man, and from what I've seen, everything else not related to nature....

Is this a flower
Because it has proper form?
Perhaps it is silk.

Is this an ocean,
Because the taste is salty,
Perhaps just a bay.

Form and it’s content,
The argued defining style,
But it’s shape it is.

(pssssst - you also need to add one more syllable to your middle line making it seven as Sunshine says...)

I count seven in the middle

I real ly need to know now
1  2    3   4   5  6    7

Thank you Sunshine, I didn't know either the difference between the various types.

Go on Morgoth, you'll get the hang of it, it's fun to do.
