On An Autumn Wind

~*Marge Tindal*~

I met you on an autumn wind
summoning me across a heathered valley
Shy of caress until the gentle breeze of you
blew softly through my heart

Meet me again on the howling wind
When winter comes to lay
blanketing white across the night
where the wind ever-chilling blows

Spring jumps up to greet me
in the blossom of your smile
Whispering breezes of your name
calling me always to your side

And should you ever be gone from me
I would know you again on the wind
that whistles across a meadow
when the summer blooms of daffodil

~ Winds encircle me ~
~through ever-changing seasons of you~

Lovely poem, and if you had shaped the stanzas like leaves well then I would be jumping cart wheels...very colorful Marge.  I really enjoyed this one.

Whatever the season, love brings beauty to it and makes it special. And whatever the topic, you write it beautifully. *S*

You can write such an atmosphere into a poem Marge...God bless you!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
