Yesterday I saw that look on your face again
the one that's always told me you were so glad.
It had been so long since I had seen that look
for inside you had been way to long sad.

The twinkle had returned to those
deep beautiful blue eyes,
and a smile had washed away
all of the tears we had cried.

You said that today you were happy
and that you were feeling fine,
and we both smiled and laughed...
as we both learned to take it....
one day at a time.

On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free.

I know this feeling so very well.
It's true, you can take only one day at the time and when it's a good day, just be happy.

its so sweet and sincere...
and that last line just sums it all up
sometimes love just needs space and time
just to let it and us simply be..
