Petite point

Silver crested clouds at night
Dance across the moon in flight.
As winds make leaves to play a tune
Enhancing trees to Brigadoon.

And shadows rise in fantasy
To add their touch to lunacy
As vibrant rounds creep out the bogs
The sounds of strident calling frogs

The mist makes webs of interplay
In gray and silver interlay.
Painting phantoms in the dark
Of ghosts and goblins disembark.

And eerie shrouds around your mind
As leery closes from behind
And fear begins to tip the scale
And bravery begins to fail.

I’ve held the hand of dark of day
And prayed there was another way.

I had no idea what to expect when I opened this one, Sy...

I wasn't disappointed, of course - I love the whole poem... but especially the couplet... NATCH...

This is a perfect example of what is so impressive about your work...
the poetic blending and pure perfection of cadence and rhyme, imagery and vision,
and then as always, tied up in a bow with the heart and soul couplet of summation.

Excellent and way cool too Sy-babes

Brigadoon, Brigadoon,
long lost isle, my heart still tuned
to hear your spell, cast it well,
call me back to Brigadoon....

call me back, come, talk with me
set your eyes on mine to see
the love you cast from your spell,
ah Brigadoon, you've cast it well....

you set my mind a'wandering, Sy...

and I thank you for that...

JM,
And that's a perfect example of how you fill my heart with raspberry and flatteries tea.
