Whistle Down The Wind
~*Marge Tindal*~

Ancient mariners to this place
moved with quietly tended ease
billowing thoughts from beyond

Peruvian desert sands
etched with Nazca precision
leaves earthly visitors in awe

Come and gone
leaving traces of wonderment
whistle down the wind

*Inspired by the history of the Nazca Lines of the Peruvian desert.
I have been quietly fascinated by this place.

There are so many wonders in this world, and thank you for the geography and science lesson, this was a fun one!  Absolutely incredible some of the things that have endured time.

I found this hiding Marge and I just have to bring it back as I love the idea of the whole thing.....the pictures are wonderful too!  Great poem!

The role of poetry is to utter the un-utterable; to open up
spaces of consciousness and resistance; to language oppressions; to
re-language historie
