Caught Unaware

I’m too young to be
this disillusioned with life
too old to be this surprised
yet here I am
caught unaware, again
when did it all stop making sense

Perhaps my karma rearranged
when yesterday’s sin caught up
overtaking today’s virtue of self
proving it not enough
caught unaware, again
no one is more surprised

I can relate. It may not be the same scenario, but the feelings, definitely...

Enjoyed!

JLR,

Isn't that always the way?  Just when you think you have everything figured out.. life throws you another curve lol.  I guess that is what life is all about.. one surprise after another
