Setting sun as folded light,
...calls to the earth imploring,
Come with me unto the night,
...to worlds unknown, exploring.
From forth the dusk, resurgent moon,
...steals through night's rising mist,
Ascending up to heaven's vault,
...'mid realm of gods' exist,
Whil'st laying bare to earth below,
...the gems of night's abyss,
countless stars of welkin's glory,
...crown jewels of heaven's bliss.

In the darkness comes delight,
Comes perfect beauty of the night.

'tis now most seemly
that sun leave to those
most dreamly
a cast of thought
a wisp of when
and to rest
'till 'morrow again...

Mike, a wonderful write....

Mike~
My Goodness ... you just get better and better.
This is positively lovely.
No one writes the night ... quite like you do.

Sheer beauty ... your poetic thoughts shine brightly.

exquisite Mike...poetic perfection.

"Though my soul may sit in darkness,
It will arise in perfect light.
For I have loved the stars much too fondly
To be fearful of the night".
