The job which you entrusted me
Is placed so very high

I have to choose decisions hard
And trust my mindful eye

Those people chose as confidants
Must help as they do see

And if it's felt a choice is wrong
Step forth and disagree

I am no better than each one
Who God sends forth to me

We're made of bodies, flesh and blood
We'll die each separately

Do please have patience as I try
To lead our great country

I'll never please the masses all
But I hope the majority

Your President is what I am
Please hope and pray, I plea

Yes, wouldn't it be wonderful if the media would let the man alone to get his job done, instead of digging around where they really don't belong...

let the people get their job done.  Watch, yes....but do not put roadblocks in their way....the rest of the world does that just fine, thank you!

Thanks for this, Plumber....

It seems like the American people have to wring the last drop and then some, out of EVERYTHING. Do we really have to know?  I liked this and hope to see more.  ME

I want to thank all you talented poets for the generous comments.  I wish that President Bush could get a copy of this.  I guess that is a little too much to ask for.  Roger TPP
