Affairs dont hurt anyone
But the two they involve
Not the kids
Or the spouses
Nor the children they produce

How anything affected me

That he was more important

The time spent with him
Never took away from your kids?

So when my sister finally told
My family the honest to God truth
You said she lied
And tore the family apart

Making my dad, your husband cry
And yell to God "why me?"
He still doesnt know the truth
That my brother isnt his

I cried myself to sleep
So many restless nights
While you were out screwing around
As I continued your lies

So now you are lieing
And saying you are true
What a bunch of baloney
How could you be so false?

So, Mom, I'm sorry
You were totally right
Your affair doesn't hurt anyone
But you are just joking-

Funny, most don't realize the feelings of the other person involved, should the truth come out, which it often does. This is hard hitting and one that I think needs to be read....

It's requires sort of a selfish attitude...I want what I want and to heck with everybody else...even if that someone else may be a spouse or a son or daughter...James

Everyone is hurt in someway...unavoidable but true. We can only try to temper the hurt and grow.

A good write, Cuddlez, sometimes we just don't realize the pain that we cause our family. I'm sorry things are so difficult for you at the moment. Perhaps you might be able to get your mom to read your work. At least she will know what's on your mind.
