Lord of Tides

Prince of madness

looking down

on streets

so tragic

a different face

every night

watching

so silent

with eyes

so bright

touching us

with lifeless flight

The very deep did rot: O Christ!
That ever this should be!
Yea, slimy things did crawl with legs
Upon the slimy sea.
