The Song of Forever

Held in my hands is a certain dream
a feeling so subtle it's easily missed
I cradle it gently as many before me
and wish it were here to shower with kisses
The softness and grace with which it moves
captures me entranced, by spell befell
The beauty of its majestic dance
whispers secrets and stories tell
As though lit by every star in heaven
my face shines by the light of this smile
Never darkened by one or two, by six or seven
never darkened by an endless count of days
I look ever deeper within and find new meaning
new fire to burn away my inhibitions
This complete truth that fills my heart
and clears a path through all indecision
Is the same truth that brings us here
tied by word, across the expanse of time
There this ocean passes through my hand
and brings meaning to all searches and all finds
If you have gazed without direction
or listened with just the same
If you have felt without reserve, without regret
then to this very place you came
