~* Just Listen *~

I am always here for you but,
I want to ask you to do this one thing …
Listen to the sounds of the wind whistling
Softly through the passion tree.
Find peace for yourself,
And hear the song nature sings.
Just listen.

My love is eternally here for you.
I will always support you through tough times,
And hold your hand through the good.
Friends are hard to find,
Rest knowing this,
I treasure you.
Just listen.

Real friends fly like doves of truth,
Fluttering love to lift you when you're down.
If you listen you will hear my wings.
So for now, just breathe,
Take time to refresh your soul,
Saturate yourself in the sounds of nature.
Just listen.

When you are feeling at your lowest,
Walk with Nature, hold her hand tight.
Let her flow through your being.
Surround yourself in creation.
For the natural sounds and feelings,
You receive will give answers, and heal you.
Just listen.

I cannot always be there in person,
But know this, just as nature envelopes you,
I am there listening, caring and loving you.
So when you need me most of all,
Imagine the dove of truth holding you in her wings.
Walk with nature, and think of me.
Just listen, I will be there.

My friend, trust your heart, but heed your mind.
Shield your soul from pain.
Let the doves of truth flutter about you,
Do not close your ears or eyes to their message,
Open your spirit to nature’s message,
For the answer was always inside of you.
Just listen!

Your whole poem was beautiful, but these lines I've copied mean so much.

Mysteria, this is absolutely beautiful.  The stanza here, though, touched my heart more greatly than all the others.  I too, almost picked the last stanza.  Positively wonderful poem!

Walk with Nature, hold her hand tight.
Let her flow through your being.
Surround yourself in creation.
For the natural sounds and feelings,
You receive will give answers, and heal you.
Just listen.

I think this is an excellent poem and contains a lot of wisdom.

A truly wonderful read, Sharon. Your love runneth over for those you love in this poem. Beautiful piece of writing..

inot2b: I am glad it touched you in some small way.

VAS: So very glad you like this one for inside are always the answers.

Julian: me wise? Comes from years of "not listening" to my inner voice.

Sudhir: Yes real friends never hesitate and fly like doves to help their friends seek the truth for themselves though.

Martha: Hear the gentle flutter for therin lies peace.

Marge: I "know" you do, and yes, the heart is also my inkwell.  Thank you for a smile!

Kate: Thank you, it is nice to know that sometimes our love does not go without some small acknowledgement isn't it?

Auguste: Thank you so much.

Titia: And I two words for you...thank you.

Such wise words... written and presented so beautifully. The path to peace isn't something we can give someone no matter how much we long to be able to do so... but we can let them know we're with them every step of the way to encourage and love and listen... and soften the fall if they falter.

Latin passions: Thank you for reading this and your sweet comment.

Corey14: Well I said the same thing when I was 14, and by that point had been dabbling in poetry for 8 years off and on, and have been ever since. So...when you are my age, 55, there will be someone your age saying the exact same thing, and I take it as a wonderful compliment, thank you.
