The morning tide is low
as I walk alone along the beach
looking for your footsteps
now washed away.

Time and tide washes everything away
leaving me alone and empty
yearning for what once was
a fullness of waves.

I miss you and your unruly hair
that dashed across your forehead
and tickled my face whenever you came close.

Now all there is
is the memory of sensation...
lingering like a ghost and haunting me
as I walk alone upon the beach
looking for your footsteps now washed away...

From the heart - sincerity. Where you go I follow.

I like this very much. The sadness of the footprints washed away by the waves of time.

latin passion,

Very calming and soothing work of poetry.  To imagine in one's heart that the footprints could remain.  Oh, how we might walk them over again to rewrite those days of wavy hair.... Sensational writing.

Yes when they are in our arms we can feel every curve and enjoy every sensation...until they are gone and we have only memories and desires to appease us...James

The metaphorical ocean -
is deep and full of surprises.
If you keep walking that beach,
sooner or later love will find you
anew.

latin passion,

Yes, and this is truly how it feels, the missing, the longing.  Great writing here.  Thank you for this one.
