he's always there
         listening. . .

no matter where
    they hide
              no matter where
                        they run

he's always there
         listening. . .

Cupid has cursed him
    Aphrodite has sent
    Medusa after him
         Destiny has called
         him a thorn
              and Fate has
              wished him deaf

but

he's always there
         listening. . .

listening to them
reveal their answers
the answers to the
questions that we all have

and when he's done
         listening. . .

he comes back

and shares what
he's heard
with us
