~*~ Like A River Flowing ~*~

Love is like a river,
Flowing through an open heart.
Its path is ever changing,
It never will stop or start.
Never slowing, ever flowing,
Always showing, caring, knowing.

It curves majestic canyons,
Yet ripples through the towns.
It speaks of silent beauty,
Where innocence abounds.
Night and day it does not sway,
From its purpose or its way.

As though a heart was made to sing,
As many hidden waterfalls,
It pushes toward that resting place,
From where it hears the calls,
Of currents strong, the path is long,
And yet, it sings a silent song.

The wind disturbs the placid silence,
And moves on through the plains,
But the river does not waiver,
Flowing through the rains,
The violet storm clouds bring,
Yet love will ride on the wing,
And still we hear the river sing.

The current of a heart may change,
The flow sways by the passing,
Of time and floods and hardships,
But the glory’s everlasting.
It will hold strong, and be always near
Love’s silent song we’ll always hear.

Cuddlez: Thank you for reading this as I liked doing this one.  Sometimes it happens no one reads but that is okay, as I just love writing, thank you anyway.

Mysteria~
I love the movement of water.

I like the pools, the rills,
the babbling brooks,
the ocean waving, the gentle cascading ...
Well .... (yeah, even wells)... I could go on all night ...
Whoops ... come to think of it - I have !
Night !

This flowed like the river and took me place I had not seen. Cool.

I wish that I had written this! I tried to write a poem about a river once, but it didn't work out. Maybe this one will inspire me to try again. This is definitely a keeper, Sharon.

Thank you for the lovely words and the beautiful picture and wow, it's so refreshing, you know I spend approximately 22 hours a day alone and I feel as if I needed this....thank you!

Vanada: I am so glad you liked it (p.s. some of my favorite poetry comes from India) so I shall now look for yours too!

Elizabeth - Go for it!  Feel the water and it will come.

Greeneyes: You inspired this with your poem and darn I forgot to tell you that.  Yours was beautiful by the way.

Waseem - Long time no see, thank you very much!

Irish Rose: 22 hours alone is too many, I shall fix this right now!  Thanks for reading and I am so glad it gave you a lift.
