Strumming Strings

The six strings make clear ringing sounds
Tunes floating from a plaintive ground,
Echoing this heart's soulful thoughts
Words flowing from despondent spots.

Life's a guitar meant to be played
Just like daylight is meant to fade,
And each of its strings is a thread
To hold on till the body's dead.

From depths do rise amazing heights
Like sweet dreams of men without sight,
Long travails of mind make us wise
That we are judged by hidden eyes.

Every lock has a special key
Like each present has its own fee,
Each key needs a little turning
And the fee asks for some burning.

There's a meaning in everything
Even in lonely state of nothing,
All it takes is an inward search
And the conviction to research.

*!*

I hope there really is meaning in everything, I read a lot in this one....

There has to be a meaning in everything,or the question why would not be needed.Very nice indeed!

I used to get lost in my inward thoughts while playing the guitar. To me it's the most beautiful and expressive instrument, and when you're playing alone, it is good company. Playing a guitar is food for the soul. But I've forgotten now to play, but have not forgotten to look inward. I do a lot of that, and it is also food for the soul.
Enjoyed this immensely
